By offering educational and entertaining programs, West Pittston Historical Society keeps present and past residents informed.

Programs include both West Pittston and Northeast Pennsylvania history as well as Wine and Cheese events and Home Tours.

Memories of Christmas Past - Christmas Decorations of the Twentieth Century
Saturday November 15, 2008 - 2:00 PM at the West Pittston Presbyterian Church, Exeter Avenue 
We are pleased to present antiques dealer, Boyd Hitchner of Haddonfield, New Jersey who will be speaking about vintage Christmas items spanning the past one hundred years.  Mr. Hitchner will present many items from his personal collection including ornaments, decorations and other trimmings.  Begin your holiday season by taking a look at Christmas past and discover the history of those family treasures you inherited from your grandmother.  This program is free and open to the public.

WPHS Class of '58 Reunion

WPHS Class of 1958 will be holding its 50 year reunion at Newberry Estates in Dallas, PA on Saturday, November 1st.  We will also have a pizza party the nite before, October 31st at Brutico's in Old Forge.  Of 96 class members, the only 2 we have not been able to find any information on are Betty Lou Dendle Driscoll and Sandy Llewellyn Davies.  If anyone knows the whereabouts of these two classmates, please contact Don and Barbara Dolfi @ 570-474-6150.
